Come help the Wabash Valley Recovery Alliance blackout addiction at their 3rd annual glow run 5k and concert!

Our event will start with some amazing speakers before kicking off with the 5k Blacklight Glow fun run/walk taking participants through awesome glow stations where they will glow like the sun with glow paint, glow necklaces / braceletes, and more! Afterwards join us for a rocking good time at our post race concert featuring Bengebrakers!

We have a goal of 500 participants and raising $25,000 for the Wabash Valley Recovery Alliance! We hope you will come support our cause and be part of this momentous event!


You do have to register for the 5k Blacklight Glow run to participate in the 5k and/or to join us at the concert for $25. All proceeds go directly to the Wabash Recovery Alliance and includes:
- A stunning Blackout Addiction race shirt*
- Custom bib#**
- Purple glow necklace / bracelet representing recovery month
- Entry onto an awesome glow race course with blacklight areas, glow paint, and more!
- Race photos
- Entry to the Recovery Concert
* You must be registered by September 4th to be guarenteed an event t-shirt
* You must be registered by August 19th to have your name and whom you are participating in memory of on your bib#

Children 12 & other can participate in the events for free but they will not receive any event gear. You must be registered to receive items associated with the event.

This race is an untimed glow walk / run.

Parking will be located across the street from Fairbanks Park in the Vigo County City Offices parking lot located at the corner of 1st and oak street. Please park here and cross the street to Fairbanks Park. This will allow you to come and go as you please!
We would encourage all participants to bring an old towel for their vehicle. You may be dirty or still wet from glow paint as you cross through our glow stations and we want to make sure your vehicle stays squeaky clean!

There will be a small family friendly kid zone with games and activities for little ones!

We will also have more glow run items for sale at the event if you would like to add some more lights and glow to your run!

Food trucks will be present for participants to purchase some delicious food throughout the night's activities.

The Schedule for the Event is as follows:
- 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Race Day Packet Pickup / Registration
- 6:00 p.m. - Opening Ceremony and Prayer & Wabash Valley Recovery Alliance Speakers
- 6:30 p.m. - Butterfly Release for Overdose Awareness
- 7:00 p.m. - Recovery Speaker
- 7:30 p.m. - Band / DJ with Two Eight Ministries
- 8:30 p.m. - Blacklight Run Begins
- 9:00 p.m. - Post-race Concert Begins
- 10:00 p.m. - Concert Ends

The Wabash Valley Recovery Alliance is a non-profit whose mission is to change lives through advocacy and education, creating unity, awareness and support for addiction prevention, treatment and recovery. Their goal is to unify our community in the battle against addiction, reduce barriers to recovery for those seeking help, coordinate local resources, reduce stigma surrounding addiction, and provide support to family and loved one of those facing addiction.
